I'ts beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We got our tree last Saturday, but didn't have time to decorate because it was getting late. So, we decided to incorporate it into our FHE on Sunday. Daddy read the girls a story, called A Star for Jesus. He then talked with the girls about the true meaning of Christmas. After the story, we did our activity - decorating the tree and making a gingerbread house. We had Emma say the prayer before the activities, and after talking about Christmas being Jesus' birthday, one funny thing Emma said during her prayer was, "...and please bless that Jesus will share his birthday cake with me..." Adam and I both had to hold back our laughter...

Getting the icing readyDaddy did the "building" of the house
And the girls (& I) did the decorating

The finished product!
I think their favorite part was tasting the gingerbread house!

Beautiful and delicious looking ginger bread house! What a great tradition to start with your sweet little family!
You have to write down what Emma said in her baby book! That is so cute! Love you all, Mom
