Emma's First Field Trip

Emma had her first field trip last Thursday. We went to see the play, Robin Hood. It was great! We had front row seats...so we were right there in the action. The actors came off the stage right in front of us during a sword fight scene. Emma's eyes about popped out of her head! I had to reassure her that they weren't really fighting...and that it was just pretend! But it was a great play and I am really glad I got to go. Luckily I called her teacher the day I got the field trip slip b/c there was only room for one parent to come...so I was the only parent there. Which seems crazy to me b/c there are 23 kids in her class! Can you imagine taking 23 five year olds into a large crowd with only three adults? But the kids stayed together and no one got lost!

Excited and ready to go! She LOVED riding the bus. She is a car rider and now, she wants to be a bus rider (or as she calls it, a "bus driver")! Sorry Emma, not a chance!

Her class posing for the camera! Emma is in the back to the right next to her parapro.

Enjoying the front row seats

That's so awesome they took a kindergarten class to see the play! Our second graders went to see it. I'm glad Emma enjoyed it, seeing a play for the first time is a unique experience when you're used to t.v.
