Just a little FYI for you if you're interested: the new wing of the hospital has 18 labor-delivery-recovery rooms (which are a lot nicer and bigger than the old ones), 8 exam rooms, 4 surgical suites for C-sections, and 8 antepartum rooms for high-risk mothers who are on monitored bed rest. The Mother Baby rooms are still in the same place on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Here are some pics from the tour.
Here we are standing in the new lobby of the Women & Children's pavilion.
If I understood correctly, when you go into labor, you will come directly here to register. I don't think that you will have to sign in at the ER any longer...which is great.
Here's a shot of the room

All I can say is WOW! The long sofa is nice for those daddy sleep overs, and the bathtub...well, need we say more! Very cool!
Wish it was open a couple of months ago :-) Oh well, we still had a great experience at NGHS...
SO LUCKY- I was so hoing to deliver in the new pavilion but now I guess I'll just be doing it through others if/when I become a doula! Catherine also said it was amazing...I'm sure it will make for an awesome experience!
Cant wait to see it! I heard they have some pics up in the halls too? right?
YES! They have beautiful pictures of kids, hanging on the walls, who were born at NGHS. Did you take those Heidi?
